Born in New York City, Judith was a cardiologist for over 25 years, practicing in Westchester, NY, and specializing in heart imaging and female cardiac issues. Even while working in medicine, she and her husband Roger Salisbury started Cape Ann Artists to anchor their artistic life.
Since her retirement and move to Gloucester, she has been focusing on her creative visual artistry. She completed a Masters Degree in Digital Photography (MPS) in 2009 at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and is a Moab Master (Legion Paper) as well awarded Copley Artist status.
She exhibits widely and is a member of many professional societies including the Copley Society of Art in Boston, for which she served on the Board, and was the former Artistic Director of the Rocky Neck Art Colony. She has won numerous awards, has gallery representation in Gloucester, MA, New York and Scottsdale, Arizona and her work is in many private and corporate collections including; Legion Paper, NYC (Legion Gallery Permanent Collection), White Plains Radiology Association (NY), Cardiology Consultants of Westchester (Hawthorne and White Plains, NY) as well as RP Capital Management (Boston and California). Her main focus is on floral fine art photography and mature female nudes, and she explores still life to wildlife, seascapes to landscapes as well as abstracts. Fine art C-prints and B&W Silver gelatin prints as signed limited edition, as well as open edition metal and canvas prints for sale.
